AUSTRALIA’S swimmers will be stalking the Barcelona Olympic pool for gold medals wearing costume spiderman .
The Aussie Cossie has had a facelift, using revolutionary new materials and designs to give our swimmers biomechanically faster suits with ultimate comfort.
The unique new fabric, S2000,Spiderman Costumes, developed by Speedo, is a combination of polyurethane and polyester, creating a water resistant property similar to that of ducks’ feathers.
The costume spiderman design, modelled above by Olympic swimmer Leigh Habler, is the most radical in yearsand features a high neck and a back zip.
Victoria’s Nicole Stevenson, who will represent Australia in the 100m and 200m backstroke, zentai suit, the 200m freestyle, and 4×100m medley relay at the Games, helped Speedo’s designers by testing the suit out in training.
"It feels really weird, it is so different to have a high neck, and to be zipped into the suit," Stevenson said.
"It is a bit like a wet-suit cut, the way the arm holes are big and the neck high, and the material feels rubbery and buoyant." Finding the new fabric and design to have a positive affect on swimmers’ performances, the Australia’s head coach Don Talbot approved the production of suits for the Olympic team.
The team will wear the S2000 swimsuit for the first time at the Speedo Grand Prix final at the Warringah Aquatic Centre this weekend.
But Australia may not be the only nation sporting the catsuit.
European and American Olympic swimmers have been reported to be clocking personal best times wearing the new swimsuits, and will be wearing them at the Games.

Looking more like shiny spacesuits, these crowd stopping fashions are tipped to be the new look.
The pewter and gold lycra spiderman costumes and PVC raincoats were among the highlights in the spectacular finale of David Jones’ autumn-winter 1992 fashion parades. The catsuit s, selling for $179.50, and raincoats, at $595,zentai suit, have been made especially for the store and they will be available at the end of this month. The parades showcased the very best in new season Australian and international fashions. Store fashion buyers say primary colors, tartans, checks and coats will make a big impact this year, and skirts will come in all shapes, from bell to flared.
SEXY Jessica Taylor will return to a winning formula to try to avoid a repeat of last week’s skate-off – a CATSUIT.
She’ll hope to catch the public’s eye with her silver skin-tight crystal-encrusted costume on tomorrow’s show.
Eight years ago she struggled into a black rubber number with Liberty X for a video of single Just A Little – and the ploy worked when it topped the charts.
Jess, 28, said: "That song won us a Brit, so I’m hoping the new costume will bring me luck. Thankfully it’s not made of rubber because the one I had for Just A Little needed two people to help me into it and I had to be naked underneath!&quot,Spiderman Costumes; Roxy Pallett, 26, and Zoe Salmon, 29, will also be in jaw-dropping outfits.
Ex-Blue Peter host Zoe’s flesh-coloured outfit will make it appear she’s skating nude while Ex-Emmerdale star Roxy’s will look like a red swimsuit.
Jess, right, who survived the skateoff with Melinda Messenger, 38, has vowed to send snaps of herself each week to cricketer hubby Kevin Pietersen, 28, who is in the West Indies with England. Lucky lad.

KYLIE MINOGUE staged her first concert since beating breast cancer yesterday and it was as if she had never been away.
The singer delighted her fans in a series of astonishing shiny metallic and gyrated energetically with scantilyclad male dancers as she performed her hits.
A sell-out crowd of 10,000 cheered as she took to the stage in Sydney for the first night of her Showgirl Homecoming tour.
It was hard to believe that it was only 18 months ago that she was diagnosed with the disease. Since then she has had a lump removed and endured chemotherapy that made her hair fall out and left her already tiny frame looking gaunt.
Now she is well again and she proved it in style,Spiderman Costumes, showing off eight outrageous outfits from designers including Dolce &amp, zentai suit; Gabbana, Pucci and Karl Lagerfeld.
Kylie, 38, kicked off the concert in a showgirl costume by John Galliano, with a pink plumed headdress and jewelled bodice with huge train made from ostrich feathers imported from Paris.
Another outfit featured a black PVC minidress with laced knee-high boots and giant cockatoo’s plumed headdress.
The Australian star also appeared in a head-to-toe leopard print catsuit complete with animal ears on her head.
A further costume change found her in a sequined miniskirt and a top streaming golden ribbons, with a punk-like peroxide wig over the blonde hair that has grown back since the chemotherapy.
Later in the show she wore a Pucci silver spider costume with matching silver headdress and a multicoloured swirled cape.
She also appeared in two full-length golden gowns and a sequined jacket teamed with a pair of printed culottes that bore a picture of Dame Edna Everage.
Kylie had to cancel her Showgirl tour when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in May last year but promised fans she would return once she was better.
Speaking before yesterday’s show, she said: ‘Just to be here and have the opportunity to do it, I feel quite proud of that.
I’m thrilled to be back. I’ve been looking forward to it for such a long time.’ Her performance yesterday was the first of 20 concerts in Australia before a series of dates in Britain in January.

TRACY SHAW can always be relied upon to show an acre of flesh for the cameras. She is a red carpet natural, primping and preening for photographers with all the self-

consciousness of Jordan after five vodka Red Bulls.
But last night’s outfit for the Baftas was outre even by Shaw’s standards.
Her pale blue catsuit – slashed to the navel, slashed to the thigh and studded with rhinestones – would not have looked out of place in Chipperfield’s Circus.
The only woman ever to look good in a costume spiderman was Diana Rigg – and she only wore one in the name of The Avengers. The man responsible for Shaw’s look is Kyri, the 29-year-old

designer who counts Carol Vorderman, Amanda Holden and Victoria Beckham among his clients.
&nbsp,Spiderman Costumes; When it comes to dressing celebs for glitzy premieres, Kyri is your man. His winning ways with satin and diamante are perfect for Tracy Shaw. The 28-year-old Coronation Street

star loves to change her look, and has gone through more image changes than Madonna – although not always with quite so much success. Pin curls, zentai suit, tousled waves, a brown wig and

pigtails are just some of the things she has put her hair through in the name of glamour. "Let it all hang out," seems to be Shaw’s motto, and while it is heartening to see a

woman who once fought body dysmorphia now feeling so at ease with her curves, perhaps someone should tell her that sometimes, less is more.

THE RELEASE on Friday of Charlie’s Angels at a cinema near you threatens to have the nation reaching for lip gloss, hairspray and, wait for it, a zentai . Ouch. Shiny lips and flicky hair is one thing, but the unforgiving,Spiderman Costumes, all-in-one number will not have most of us rushing out to buy one.
OK, Charlie’s chicks – Natalie (Cameron Diaz), Dylan (Drew Barrymore) and Alex (Lucy Liu) – look pretty hot in their one-piece suits, but bear in mind that they probably had a nutritionist/fitness adviser to keep them trim, not forgetting calorie-controlled lunch boxes (Hollywood’s latest answer to healthy eating on location).
And they are actresses, not mere mortals with curves and cellulite and potential confidence crises. If you are blessed with long legs, a pert bottom, zentai suit, no hips and a nipped-in waist, then by all means go for it as shown by Victoria Beckham (black zip-up leather reminiscent of Girl on a Motorcycle), Mel B (black strapless all-in-one) and actresses Rosanna Arquette and Carmen Electra (in matching spray-on denim affairs), Liv Tyler (asymmetrical christian jumpsuit) and X-Men’s star Rebecca Romijn-Stamos (metallic blue leather). The rest of us can duck out of this look altogether.
But even if you are thinking of wearing one, you might find them in short supply (and if you are tempted, for heaven’s sake, stick to black). Alexander McQueen’s slashed, low-belted, black ribbon-wool design (he does his own take on the boiler-suit) has already been seen out and about doing the rounds. More than 50 per cent of Armani’s black velvet halterneck fitted costume spiderman (also available in plum) have left the shop floor and his grosgrain version has sold out. Michael Kors has gold sequined turtleneck, long-sleeved, loose-fit jumpsuits, but they are not for the fainthearted. There is no cowering in the corner in one of these. If you can, wait until February, when Versace will introduce backless halterneck all-in-ones in black, shocking pink, aqua and print, and another style with a singlet top and chain hip belt
Even the high street is selling out fast as the one "Christmas wow piece" is snapped up by the bold and the brave. You might have to break into a run if you want to nab Warehouse’s plunge-V, black satin catsuit with a gold sequin starburst round the neck, but before you put on your trainers, note that satin is the least forgiving fabric.
On the other hand, River Island offers black (the high-street retailers know the shade that sells) crepe-jersey spider costumes in two styles with diamante belts either at the waist or under the bust. If you like the sound of Rosanna Arquette and Carmen Electra’s denim ensemble (looks like they are wearing tight indigo jeans and fitted shirt), then get thee to Oasis. If it has sold out, check out the black sassy numbers, complete with gold belts.
But be warned; while you might wow the boys (you are fully clothed, yet showing off every outline of your body), you will not score Brownie points in the ladies’. Anyone who has worn a skisuit will know what I am talking about – a great deal of huffing and puffing in a small cubicle as you wrestle yourself in and out of the wretched zips.

HERE’S an outfit that’s anything but Glamorous.
With her darkened hair, Black Eyed Pea Fergie, 34, stepped out in LA wearing this daring satin spiderman costume.
Big Girls Don’t Cry – but this costume nearly brought tears to our eyes..
WITH her mother out of the country, Elizabeth Jagger had all the time in the world to root through her wardrobe for something to wear to the Rolling Stones’ after show party.
And, judging by the outfit she chose, she was in there long enough to dig to the very back. That’s where, one assumes, Jerry Hall had hidden this dazzling canary-yellow catsuit.
Elizabeth, 22, a model, paraded the beaded and sequinned suit at Ronnie Wood’s West London home on Sunday.
She and her sister Georgia May, 14, were representing the Jagger clan for the night, as their father Sir Mick was tucked up in bed in his suite at Claridges.
The 63-year-old, still recovering from a recent bout of laryngitis,Spiderman Costumes, had gone straight home after the Stones’ two-hour performance at Twickenham rugby ground.
But his daughters two of Sir Mick’s four children with Miss Hall seemed happy to stand in his stead, and lingered until well after 3am before being chauffeured to their nearby home.
They spent the evening with the likes of Wood and his children Leah, Tyrone and Jamie, and guests including Keith Richards’s daughter Theodora, the actor Owen Wilson and footballer Michael Owen.
Richards, zentai suit, who Sir Mick had earlier introduced to the audience as the band’s ‘chief head-banger’ after his recent fall from a coconut tree in Fiji, threw a separate bash at London’s Landmark Hotel, and did not arrive at Wood’s until after 2am.
Miss Hall was holidaying abroad with friends, recovering from falling badly and spraining her leg as she tried to pull off a complicated dance move at a party on the eve of her 50th birthday.

Tennis star Serena Williams’s black, leather-look catsuit may have seemed like an outrageous fashion statement when she wore it at last week’s US Open but it was designed to

boost her playing power. PETA BEE examines the claims of other recent developments in high-performance clothes and footwear
IT MAY look skintight but Serena’s catsuit can stretch to up to five times its original size, enabling her to jump and lunge for the ball totally unrestricted. It has also been

shown that athletes who wear Lycra-based compression shorts during training experience 30 per cent less muscle fatigue than those in normal gymwear.
Scientists are now developing a range of high-tech sportswear that can improve your game by helping you run faster or get fit quicker.
So, if the idea of squeezing into a zentai doesn’t take your fancy – and even Serena admits that if you don’t have a decent shape, this isn’t the best thing to wear – here’s

some other smart sportswear.
 FITNESS-BOOSTING RUNNING VESTS
Researchers at Loughborough University have developed a running vest that could help you get fit more quickly.
Dr Mike Caine and a team from the University’s Progressive Sports Technology Centre have invented the RespiVest. This is worn round the chest and trains breathing muscles to

work more efficiently.
It has several elasticated loops which squeeze the chest to stop it expanding fully, forcing the lungs to work harder. "Athletes need to train their breathing muscles, " Dr

Caine says. "If they start to tire, it has a knock-on effect on the muscles in the legs and arms."
 POSTURE-IMPROVING TRAINERS
If you suffer from backache, the latest functional sports louboutin boots could help.
MBT trainers, GBP 106 (01273 273555), were developed by Swiss engineer Karl Muller who studied the walking postures of Kenyan tribes to discover how they avoided joint and back

problems despite walking up to 50 miles a day. From his results, he invented a pair of trainers with a specially curved, super-thick sole that forces the postural muscles in the

legs, bottom and pelvis to work more effectively than when wearing normal louboutins.
In the MBTs your joints are better supported so you walk (or run) in a taller and more upright manner.
 COMPUTERISED FOOTBALL SHIRTS
&nbsp, zentai;Researchers from the University of Birmingham’s department of electrical and computer engineering have recently developed the SensVest, a football shirt that can monitor heart

rate, body temperature and speed.
Chris Baber, one of the shirt’s designers, says the computer-carrying fabric enables data to be sent back through a radio network to coaches and physiotherapists who can use it

to assess a player’s performance during a match.
They are also working on a computerised football which would mean that disputes with a referee or linesman could be solved instantly.
 POWER SOCKS
The knee-length socks that Commonwealth and European running champion Paula Radcliffe wears in races are designed to do more than look good – they actually help her to run

faster. Looking uncannily like the white socks girls used to wear at school, the Italian manufacturers of the tight-fighting garments say they also help to stimulate micro-

circulation in the calf muscles and prevent injury.
Although the power socks are specially made for Paula and aren’t on sale in the UK, you could always try wearing antiDVT compression socks, which use the same principles. Try

Activa Air Socks, GBP 9.56 (01283 540957).
 SPEEDY SWIMSUITS
Australian swimming sensation Ian Thorpe wore a full-length Adidas swimsuit to help him glide through the water at top speed at this summer’s Commonwealth Games.
Speedo produces a similar outfit called the Fastskin made from a fabric that simulates a shark’s scales and helps to reduce drag and muscle or skin vibrations that can slow

swimmers down. Studies at the Australian Institute of Sport showed speed improvements of 7.5 per cent when wearing a full-length Fastskin suit.
Speedo also has a range of Fastskin swimsuits for sale on the high street using the same high-tech fabrics. They are now on sale from GBP 40 and ready to try in the pool (0115

9105267).
AIR-CONDITIONED CLOTHING If you get unbearably hot and sweaty when working out,Spiderman Costumes, you should wear airconditioned clothing, just launched by Nike, from GBP 25 to GBP 250 (0800 279

9196).
New fabric technology has produced a material the company calls Nike Sphere Cool, with unique raised nodules that allows air to circulate between the clothing and your skin.
The same principle is applied to Nike Sphere Thermal. This is clothing featuring dimples that trap pockets of air – like doubleglazing – to keep you warm on your winter run.

Spiderman Costumes X MARKS DOWNFALL FOR KYLIE

THERE’S one thing former Corrie beauty Nikki Sanderson doesn’t miss about Weatherfield – her character’s duff clothes.
The pretty actress, who played the Street’s hairdresser Candice Stowe, is first to admit her soap wardrobe was "interesting" at best.
From school uniform to green leather spiderman costumes, Candice never failed to stand out.
So it’s not surprising that when Nikki left the ITV1 soap last September, she didn’t smuggle any of the outfits out with her.
In real life though, it was 21-year-old Nikki’s spot-on style which landed her the job of host for last week’s More Fashion Awards.
It’s just the latest in a string of big jobs to land in her lap. She has recently made an appearance in hit BBC series Holby City and is soon to be heard in a BBC radio play. After that she is in telly drama New Street Law.
KATE JACKSON caught up with the star to talk style, Corrie and that catsuit.
 ON COSTUMES:
"Candice was a real character. Some of the things she wore I would never wear for real.
&nbsp, zentai;Like the bright spandex zentai leather costume spiderman !
It was brilliant wearing it because it was so different. I’m not a diva and I would never have said I wouldn’t wear something.
Dressing up in those sort of clothes was fun because you wouldn’t normally be seen dead in those outfits.
I wore a school uniform until I was 20. When I left I got all the other cast members to sign it, like you do when you leave school.
I think I might auction off the lycra zentai catsuit for charity. It might only make a pound but it’s better than hanging in my wardrobe.
 ON FASHION:
"My style is very much High Street. I’m a real copycat when it comes to fashion. I’ll recreate what Kate Moss or Sienna Miller wear but buy it in Topshop.
You can go and spend hundreds on something designer or wait a month and it’ll be almost the same thing in the High Street but a lot cheaper.
 ON STYLE ICONS:
"Kate Moss and Sienna Miller are beautiful.
Cat Deeley always looks gorgeous. So does Victoria Beckham but she wears designer.
 ON THIS SEASON’S LOOKS:
"I like the dresses and skinny jeans. I’m quite into leggings and long tops at the moment. The most important item in my wardrobe is a plain vest top. You can wear them under dresses or dress them up with beads or brooches.
 ON RED CARPET GLAMOUR:
"I’ve regretted loads of my red carpet outfits! When I was growing up I did make a few mistakes. I look back and think, ‘Why didn’t someone stop me?’
It’s all right now that I’m older, I’m a bit more independent.
 ON HER CAREER:
"I’ve done an episode of Holby and I’ve filmed a drama called New Street Law which will go out in April or May. I’ve also done a radio play.
Otherwise it’s all about going for auditions and getting back into the acting game. I’d love to do something really gritty, a character that’s totally unlike me. That’s when I think people see your true potential.
 ON CRACKING HOLLYWOOD:
"I’m not going to hold my breath. It’s a hard nut to crack and I need to break Britain first.
Yes, I’ve done Coronation Street but I’d like to build up a steady career here.
 ON REALITY TV:
&nbsp, costume spiderman;"I love reality TV – I really enjoyed Celebrity Big Brother this year. I don’t think it would be the right time in my career to go on a reality TV show. I want to be seen as a credible actor and I don’t think reality TV would be the way to do that.
 ON KEEPING IN SHAPE:
"I try! I’m quite lucky because I’m a size eight to 10 and tend to stay that way. I don’t worry that much about what I eat.
Every girl’s got something about their body which they wish was different.
My legs could do with being a little longer but I’m generally happy.

The $ 1-million cat is out of the bag.
Marlen Cowpland, chauffeured in a stretch limousine, arrived at the annual Corel gala in style last night wearing a $ 1-million outfit — a skintight Italian lamb-leather costume spiderman with a 24-karat gold breastplate, accentuated by a 15-carat diamond poised on her left nipple.
"This is the best outfit I’ve ever worn," said a purring Cowpland as she grabbed a quick kiss from her husband, Michael Cowpland, CEO of computer software giant Corel Corp. &quot, zentai; It makes me feel like myself … a little bit wild!"
The suit is by Ottawa designer Richard Robinson.
‘BEAUTIFULLY PLACED’
"The diamond is from Michael’s and my engagement ring.&quot,costume spiderman;
So how does hubby feel about what his wife has done with their engagement ring?
"It’s beautifully placed," said a smiling Cowpland as he gave his wife the once over. "It’s a stunning outfit and totally original."
Cowpland accessorized her catsuit with a few other jewels — her 25-carat diamond wedding ring and matching 5-carat diamond earrings.
Finishing off the look she splashed on gold nailpolish and slipped into suede boots with patent leather tip and five-inch gold heel — and all just 10 minutes before hosting a party in the couple’s Rockcliffe mansion.
Marlen is well known for making a splashy entrance at the annual Corel affairs. She has shown up wearing flashy, skimpy, revealing outfits and one year drove up in a Ferrari.

Catsuit look is travolting for ’scared’ Shaun
TAKE a butchers at EastEnders legend ‘Fat’ Barry Evans with his TRAVOLTING new look.
Gone are the naff sheepskin coats he favoured on his dodgy car lot on Albert Square.
In come skin-tight sequined zentais that would even make Celebrity Big Brother grump George Galloway blush.
Actor Shaun Williamson, who played Barry in the BBC soap for nine years, is Scotland-bound in a stage version of the musical Saturday Night Fever.
He admits fans might be shocked by his bizarre new clobber…even though he lost TWO
STONE for the part. As well as
the catsuits he has to squeeze into a pair of bum-hugging leather disco shorts as flamboyant nightclub DJ, Monti Rock III.
But Shaun, 40, reckons it could have been worse. They could have given him the role of swaggering Tony Manero that John Travolta made famous in the smash 1977 movie.
He said: "I would have loved to have been John Travolta in the show – but they couldn’t find a white suit big enough.
"You are going to see me prancing around in gear that they just won’t believe.
"Unfortunately, catsuits, I also dance like a brick so I’ll probably put smiles on a few faces.
"But at least I’m a decent singer. My only worry is that I’ll end up as a gay icon."
Scheming
He added: "When I first saw the turquoise catsuit and the leopardskin outfit, my eyes began to water.
"And then I was shoveled into leather mini-shorts. I was so mortified I lost two stone just to fit into the cheap zentai ."
The last time Shaun was in Scotland his EastEnders car dealer character Barry was shoved off a mountain and murdered by his scheming new wife, superbitch Janine Butcher in 2004.
But dad-of-two Shaun, who, lives in Kent, said: "Being killed in a glen hasn’t put me off coming back up north."
After his stint in Saturday Night Fever, next up for Shaun is a run in the second series of the hilarious Ricky Gervais telly show Extras. He said: "I loved being in it last time because Ricky is such a genius and I was chuffed when he asked me again.
"What I’d really love to do though is have a go at a serious dramatic role on television. But I don’t suppose my stage outfits get me taken any more seriously.&quot,costume spiderman;
Saturday Night Fever is on at the King’s Theatre, Glasgow, from Monday until Saturday.
