Kate Winslet wears the classic black leather version with red patent platform to the UK premiere of her latest movie The Holiday.’ Fashion follower Victoria Beckham is a Louboutin lover and snapped up pairs in satin, black leather and cream.’ Kelly Brook opts for the snakeskin version with a cream Alice Temperley jumper dress for dinner at The Ivy.’ Actress Renee Zellweger walks tall in the black moc-croc version.’ WAG Coleen McLoughlin teams a nude patent pair with an Amanda Wakeley dress to see Take That in concert.’ Kristin Davis looks sexy in a pair of snake-skin red Louboutins and a yellow prom dress. The Spanish-Czech shoemaker became the most unlikely designer to break out of the high-fashion pack that dressed the Sex and the City women during their halcyon HBO years. The shoe passion of Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw was lavished mostly on Manolos – to call such well-crafted works of art "christian louboutins" just seems vulgar – so much so that they were essentially a star of the series on par with Parker and her three female cohorts. (In one episode, Carrie was even mugged for her Manolos.)
Sex and the City made Blahnik a household name in places where Hush Puppies were once considered the height of fashion. He became wanted by women with more fervor than every man on People’s sexiest list combined. And with the show heading into its fourth year of syndication on cable TV,ysl shoes, a new generation has joined the cult of Manolo.
So it is with shock that in the commercials for her new perfume Parker is seen flaunting another man: Christian Louboutin. The Frenchman is the maker of the shoe with which she kicks in a store window to steal a bottle, ysl; that’s made obvious by the trademark Louboutin red sole aimed straight at the camera.

Louboutin, who has only designed a handful of louboutins for men, tends to stay away from thick soles and "clunky" styles. Longer, narrower styles, he notes, can make smaller feet look larger. For a tuxedo, he would choose a simple patent leather style with thin soles.
"If a shoe is dressy it should be really well-proportioned,blahnik," he says.
Louboutin recommends making an investment of as much as $500 in dressier louboutins so they will last. The NPD Group, a market research firm based in Port Washington, N.Y., reports that men spent $10.4 billion on fashion footwear during the year ended in April 2006, up about 13 percent the previous year. Men spend about $43 for a pair of shoes, and about $75 for dress shoes.
Louboutin is not all basic browns and blacks. As he surveys the racks at Barneys, he throws in a few unusual choices among the classic looks he prefers a pair of Converse All-Stars in light blue seersucker, for instance, and sandals that have an ethnic feel.
Louboutin estimates he owns 100 pairs of shoes, but says he will collect four or five pairs of the same style. It’s practical advice that he shares with those who might be less than enthusiastic about shoe shopping.
"Clearly for men, quality really matters," he says. ",ysl shoes;Stick to a good pair, and you don’t have to think about it anymore."

No one is quite sure why. ,manolo shoesblahnik founder Mark Thatcher posits a rather elaborate theory involving the decline of Roman civilization, foot odor and lack of decent plumbing. Others suggest it was a practical matter _ as soon as someone figured out how to make ysl shoes that covered your whole foot, people flocked to them because they offered more warmth and protection. Later still, from the Middle Ages up to the turn of the 20th century, an increased sense of modesty was probably responsible for the continued closeting of feet, both male and female.
By the 1920s and ’30s, women were wearing shorter skirts and experimenting with barer shoe styles like mules, T-straps and wedgie sandals.
But for men, bare feet were now firmly associated with a lack of masculinity. Real men didn’t wear sandals. By the ’60s, when surfer-ready flip-flops,blahnik, Mexican-made sandals with tire-tread soles, and European-made Birkenstocks were marketed to men, only a few brave souls would take the plunge.
"For a lot of people, sandals were regarded as being somewhat strange-looking. There was something wrong with you if you wore them; maybe you were a hippie," says Thatcher, a former river guide who invented louboutin sports sandals out of necessity _ he wanted a shoe more structured than a thong, not as heavy as a hiking boot.
The Teva, smartly advertised as an athletic shoe, somehow crossed the barrier; maybe because they were sold in sporting goods stores, guys weren’t afraid to wear them. Thatcher’s timing was also good. His sports sandals hit the market in 1984, just before casual Fridays took hold in the business world and men’s fashion choices expanded beyond button-downs and three-piece suits.

Deckers Outdoor Corporation, whose corporate office is located in Goleta, remains close to its origin. It is there, as a UCSB student, that Doug Otto, Chairman, began producing sandals in 1973. Since then, Deckers has grown into an international company with three footwear brands – Teva, Simple and Ugg. Deckers manufactured its original brand of Deckers sandals for just over 20 years. In 1985 the company entered into a licensing agreement to produce and distribute Teva sandals. With this new license, ysl, the company experienced tremendous growth and set the stage for today’s success. Teva, the original sport sandal, was initially designed for river rafting in 1984 by Grand Canyon river guide Mark Thatcher. At first, Teva was known only as a sports sandal with its unique patented strapping system. Since 1994, however, the ysl boots line has also included fashionable leather casuals that are ideal leisure-wear for men, women and children. Deckers’ success with ysl boots was evidenced when Deckers was awarded "Company of the Year" by Footwear News in 1992. In 1993, Deckers acquired Simple Shoes. Created in 1991 by Eric Meyer as a link between athletic and outdoor blahnik shoes, Simple styles now include sneakers, clogs, sandals, and men’s and women’s casuals. The blahnik shoes are designed to blend performance and style into easy-to-wear shoes for the "feel good lifestyle",blahnik; inherent to Santa Barbara, California. Deckers also completed its Initial Public Offering in 1993 trading on NASDAQ as "DECK."

Our vision for the future is to really be what we said is a strong developer of premium authentic brands and I think we are developing an expertise in that domain and our
performance speaks for itself. Our goal of $750 million in sales by 2010 to 2012 with UGG representing $500 million, blahnik; louboutin boot, $175,000; and Simple 75,000. We are comfortable with
those goals, obviously we always drive hard toward achieving those goals and beyond. But that’s in our wheelhouse. We feel very good about that. The message: "When you die,
they’ll put you in a nice suit and shiny louboutin shoes. As if death didn’t suck enough already." Ah, yes: Death, where is thy sportswear? This sets up the quasi-Cartesian question
posed in type circling Teva’s logo: "Do you exist in louboutin shoes or live in Tevas?",ysl; Another ad in the series states the manolo blahnik store case this way: "There was an old lady who lived in a shoe.
Do you want to live like an old lady?" The brashness sounds forced, as though ad folks with real jobs are trying to sound like beach bums (which, of course, is just what’s
happening). But the ads are quite good at generating a sense of energy and athletic daring. For readers predisposed to locate sandals at the wimpy end of the footwear
spectrum, the ads effectively give the product a fresh image.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Deckers Outdoor Corp., of Goleta, Calif.,ysl, is recalling about 65,000 children’s louboutin sandals. The straps attached to the footbed of the sandals can come apart. This can cause falls.
Deckers is aware of a 2-year-old who reportedly fell when one of the sandals he was wearing came apart, injuring his lip, gum and tooth.

"You know it is all about the legs and then, naturally, the blahnik shoes, blahnik, as they are really wearing not much else except for some feathers," Louboutin says. "The blahnik shoes for these girls are like a military weapon, blahnik shoes; they need to be able to go up and down stairs easily and to move."
Later he refined his craft under the tutelage of Charles Jourdan and Roger Vivier and freelanced for the couture houses Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent before opening his first boutique near the Place des Victoires in Paris.
When it comes to the subject of heels, Louboutin admits he prefers a stiletto over a flat, mainly because they look better in the sketches.
"I am not a fascist about heels," says Louboutin, "but if you can’t walk in them, you probably shouldn’t be wearing them."
Christian Louboutin will be making an espadrille signing appearance at Barneys Copley Place.

"It’s a Nike! A doll! Thongs! Light bulbs!"
These words did not come from excited children at a birthday party. Instead, they came from volunteers, who were quite surprised at what they found over the weekend on the west beach of Kotok island in Kepulauan Seribu (Thousand Islands) regency.
Kotok island, with its relatively intact coral blahnik, is a favorite getaway for Jakarta divers. Some 60 Indonesian and foreign divers mixed work with pleasure — cleaning the blahnik of garbage while observing the marine life — on the International Coastal Cleanup Day (ICC) 2004.
The annual event has been organized for the sixth time by Bubbles Dive Center, whose head office is in Cilandak, South Jakarta. This year’s theme is ",manolo shoes;Protect our local dive site".
"We didn’t find anything except one fish hook," said Feisal, a diver whose group had been cleaning the reef surrounding the resort island. Groups coming from inhabited Pramuka island, however, returned with armloads of marine debris, proving that marine pollution can be traced back to one single source: people.
The divers collected a total of 241 items, with almost half of them been made up of beverage cans, plastic glasses and bottles. The rest included food wrappers, fishing nets, rope and plastic sheeting.
The rubbish collectors who remained on land on Kotok island found plenty to do.
"Well, I’ve learned that Chiki is the favorite snack around here," said a participant, Astrid Tika, with a wide grin. Some 761 food wrappers — including plastic bags and snack wrappers — 152 single sandals and ysl shoes, 198 beverage containers and 32 light bulbs were picked up during the 90-minute cleanup.
The resort island’s west beach might not be inhabited but that does not change the amount of garbage being washed up there. Rubbish from the capital somehow always manages to travel the 55.5 kilometers to reach the white sand beach.
"It would be easy to stop the pollution in the islands," said Daniel "Abi" Abimanju Carnadie, manager of Bubbles. "Shut down Jakarta."
Simple things can prove to be dangerous for creatures of the sea. Highly buoyant plastic bags do not only not decompose easily but can also be easily mistaken for jelly fish, the favorite food of sea turtles. Discarded ropes and fishing nets can entangle fish, sea mammals and sea birds.
Traces of tar were also seen on several plastic bags on the beach. "This shows oil pollution, either from an oil rig or a ship," said Abi.
Bubbles will send a report on the cleanup to the headquarters of Ocean Conservancy, which initiated the ICC in 1986, in Washington. Last year, the organization managed to get 450,000 people from 90 countries to participate and collected 3.43 million kilograms of marine debris.
"Maybe it’s a small act, but we hope that it will have a domino effect everywhere," said Abi.
The snowball effect is already apparent from the number of people expressing interest in the program. "More than 100 divers wanted to come, but we did not have the capacity," said Andreas Tika of Bubbles.
Aside from collecting garbage, the diving center also released 60 two-month-old sea turtles and 11 two-year-old ones, which were bred in the country’s national park.
The participants sank an old bus, which had all its paint and mechanical parts removed, manolo blahnik, to encourage the growth of a new christian louboutin shoe.
"Hopefully the fish will use it as their home, and divers will get an interesting site to visit," said Abi.

BECAUSE of its close association with New Zealand, New Zealanders don’t always see the Cook Islands in the same exotic light as Fiji or Hawaii, for example.
But the islands have their own unique physical and cultural characteristics that make them just as fascinating and beautiful.
Rarotonga, the largest island of the group, is the tip of an old volcano that that rises more than 600 metres out of the sea and is ringed by a coral blahnik. It’s an island of
lush vegetation and the rich volcanic soil along the coast is intensively used for agriculture.
Rarotonga is not a large island – it takes less than two hours to cycle around it which gives an idea of how small the other islands are.
They more aptly fit the description of coral atolls, often being only small areas of land which rise slightly above the water, enough to be covered in light bush, palm and
coconut trees.
For many tourists, a big attraction is the opportunity to relax in a South Pacific paradise.
But a trip to the Cook Islands would be wasted if all you did was sit on the white sands because despite its size, ysl boots, Rarotonga and the other 14 islands in the group offer a range
of experiences. Among the most obvious of these are swimming, manolo blahnik, snorkelling and diving.
Rarotonga’s lagoon, between the shore and surrounding coral christian louboutin, is relatively shallow and poses no dangers except from the occasional poisonous rock fish (easily avoided by
wearing manolo blahnik shoes or flippers). You can hire a set of goggles, snorkel, and flippers for under $ 10 (all prices are in New Zealand currency). For snorkelling, one of the best places
is the stretch between the Rarotongan Beach Resort and Muri Beach.
