GETTING the Christmas party dress right is a minefield.
Obviously it has to have Christian Louboutin pizzazz – after all, if you can’t get away with wearing your liquid gold mini made entirely of sequins now, then you may as well cut it up for cushion covers. You don’t want to look slutty – but, at the same time, it’s a bit Grinch-like to hang out at the buffet in gruesome grey.
So what to wear? With all the dancing you’ll be doing, you could go for something with a skirt you can twirl.
The babydolls of Christian Louboutin summer have stuck around for the chillier weather, meaning there’s a host of flirty dresses to make an impact at the office party. The buzzword is volume – full skirts and sleeves, frills and folds that take the dress up a notch into party gear. For a festive frock with an edge, Alice McCall’s halterneck brings out the dark side of the Christmas tree fairy, all net skirts and delicately embroidered lace top.
Wyeth’s dress brings a dash of sultry to the sweet prom with black trompe l’oeil lace and deep plunging neck.
For something flattering that leaves more to the imagination, Next’s gold brocade shift has just the right amount of fabric so that the slight A-line will skim hips and stomach, but Christian Louboutin is still slinky enough to have the man from accounts spluttering into his vol-au-vent.
And if you’re confident enough to let your legs do the talking,Christian Louboutin Sale, Boudoir’s beautiful babydoll has all the volume up top, but a thigh-skimming skirt to show off your disco moves.
